| (Howie�s View) I hid Kara so that she would be safe. I didn�t want her to get hurt. I walked to the corner & watched the 3 men hold up the lines & ask for me. Now I was worried. I was curious what they wanted, but I also wanted to get out of her with Kara alive. I pulled my baseball cap down over my eyes & played it cool. I picked up the phone & called home. An unfamiliar person picked up the phone. I hung up & put my phone away. One of the men came over to me. �Do you know someone by the name of Howard Dorough,� he asked. �Yeah, isn't he in one of them boybands the Busstreet Boys or something like that,� I said in my best punk sounding voice. �Have you seen him around here,� �Yeah, I think I saw him leaving one of those pizza parlors over there he went that way,� �Did he have a little girl with him,� �Yeah he did,� �Thanks you have been most helpful,� Now I had to get Kara out of here. I pulled her from the box & put my extra baseball cap on her head. I walked to the exit & got on a tram. I ran to my car & quickly got in. Then I got out of there as fast as I could. Now all I had to do is to find somewhere safe to go & home wasn�t an option. |
