Chapter 6
You know your mothers showed up a little while ago, Kristen said.
They said they would leave us alone.
Vavranta, is it true youre pregnant.
Yes, I guess its one of the many reasons they left us here.
I know this is hard. Your father didnt take it very well. He wanted to know the truth. I can tell him if you want.
No I do not fear him. He is not like my mother. I thought he was going to be like everyone back home, but he is very nice.
Kevin & Howie love the two of you. This is not the first time you have met them. When you were five, your mothers came & took you away from them. They fought & lost. Both of them were devastated.  They love having you back, when your mothers are involved they really show their anger.
Our mothers told us our fathers abandoned us.
No, if you dont believe me you can ask Kevins cousin Brian. He was there.
I believe you. Our mothers made things seem so crazy that I know your telling the truth.

Kristen smiled. I liked it. I wish my mother was the same way. Darviant woke up. When he saw Kristen he asked me who she was in the ancient language. I told him. He relaxed  & we continued to talk. My problems seemed to wash away. My father & Howie returned very late that evening. They were very tired, but I could tell they had hope, love, & belief in their eyes & thats all I needed to know.
