Chapter 3
Jacquelyn came out of the bathroom a half an hour. She looked a little better. My T-shirt dwarfed her small body. I smiled at her. She looked at the bed in front of her & for the second time that day I saw she was exhausted.

You can lay down if you want to.
Thank you.

She laid in the bed & seemed to savor the way it felt. I decided to ask you a few questions.

So Jacquelyn, how old are you?
12

I looked at her in shock. I had thought her to be 6 of 7 from the way she looked. She was thin, petite, & short. I felt like if I touched her she was going to break.

I know I dont look 12, but I am. My family has always been really short & petite. A lot of people think Im a little kid, but I dont blame them.
Dont worry about it. Ill set some things strait with the police so you dont have to. Why dont you go to sleep & rest for a while.
OK, Goodnight Howie.
Goodnight Jacquelyn.

I laid down on the cot that was in my room. There was a lot of things on my mind. I owed the guys an explanation, I had to set things strait for Jacquelyn, I had to talk to the police, but more than anything I would have to get more info from her. I fell into a deep sleep hoping I could make things right.
