Thinking - instead of just following
 
a. Why I don't support charities - I have always been suspicious of them and my life experience has confirmed this. In Africa I saw the problems of aid money and corruption and that the need is to change the underlying culture so that they save in times of bumper crops and in hard times divide it up fairly.

How can I decide which charity is most deserving, it shouldn't depend on one collector bumps into me or another. No I am happy to pay taxes and for the government with it's superior resources should decide the priorities. Come to think of it it shouldn't be a question of charity , if a baby needs an operation then it has a right to the money it shouldn't depend on the whim of the public, but if something else is more deserving then maybe they should get the money and the baby should die. Ah but I hear you say, you have to give money to charity cos the government is so untrustworthy and unreliable. Well it's up to us to make sure the government does it's job. If I was rich I would still never give money to charity I would simply pass on the requests to government and if the government didn't seem to be doing it's job I might use my money to lobby and motivate it to do the correct thing.

Giving to Charity Someone asked me how to set-up a website for a orphanage in Cambodia. So in the process of preparation I said we need to find out what's out there. We found that that there were other places with similar names etc. Though she is convinced her particular orphanage is genuine, my experience teaches me to be sceptical of aid projects. What is the ENDGAME.. Surley in the long run, Cambodia needs a system through it's own government so that orphans are brought up by "good" Cambodian familes. The idea of ophanages dependent on foreign donations, foreign culture and foreign religions should not be perpetuated, it's only a temporary measure. I would be interested to hear what experienced aid agencies on the ground think. I absolutely believe her when she says that on an individual level it was a good experience for her and the children.

c. Sport Why do people do it when they are likely to get badly injured

Why the emphasis on competions with winners. How stupid is this 20 losers and one winner equals 20 teams unhappy and one ectastic. Is this right ?

People take sport so seriously I prefer non serious games vollyball, backyard cricket, treasure hunt where the fun is in the taking part not in the winning.

And watching sport on TV .. how can that compare to doing it yourself

Racism - It's not so simple When you look at the stats it's obvious this society is racist. White people have all the best jobs ,the average white salary is higher. But I hypothesis that if you were to look closer you would find life can be difficult for white people as well as blacks. It's not a race thing it's an attraction thing. The most attractive people tend to be white, cos it's not just a case of physical attraction, but things like social status and class. A fat, ginger haired working class person would have difficulty getting a Foreign and Commonwealth Office job. A hansome, well connected public school educated black guy would find it easier. But the fact is more whites than blacks will fit these criteria; so at a simple glance it appears easier for whites than blacks. But society is prejudiced but not so simply prejudiced. Forget blacks or white quotas, and concentrate on promoting people according to their merit.

Clearly says in 4 gospels everyone is your brother and sister.
Interesting to see the system of contradictions in the bible where in different gospels the same story comes out different. So how can you ,lead your life by it. The most you can say is that the tale grows in the telling so the earlier versions are more truthful.

I have always been against organized religion and astounded to see people putting their own family members ahead of other people especially in Latin America.

Why Humans shouldn't live in large cities 1. You waste so much time traveling around 2. There's little opportunityfor bumping into the same people again and again

A4. An Invented Legend Energy based life forms can't do some things they want to so they come up with the idea of creating ants to move soil etc maybe bacteria to do something else etc. After a long line of projects they come up with human slaves. We worked for them for a long time. Maybe they got some increased energy from being worshipped.

Either we are slaves doing some kind of job for them.
Or - some energy beings feel sorry for humans maybe cos of our cute characteristics. So they smuggle 2 humans and a number of experimental animals to Earth in a ship called the Ark. Adam and Eve are released into this ecological park and the energy beings look down with some kind of amusement and satisfaction.

It's a load of crap of course ... who created the energy beings ? and why would have signs of evolution and no evidence of slavery ? ... well maybe ..except for Pyramids etc, but then the beings stopped being kings and became something less visible. We still a slaves but we don't know it. They still control the secret order of society. ..maybe !
