Religion One of the main things in society that doesn't make it's arguments through logic is religion religion doesn't do justice to reality as it seeks to oversimplify I.E. it's natural that men will make the decisions, natural that people are monogamous... When life is much more diverse.

Religion has Dogma instead of rational argument. They say, "IT is this way don't question it".
Unfortunately they often paint themselves into the corner like in the evolution debate.. When archaeologists can prove the Earth is much more than 6000 years old, Religion has no system to deal with new information.

Religion is Terrorism - "do this or something bad will happen !" Perpetually frightened.

Cartoons - Shut Mouth - save lives

Sometimes you have to hold your tongue, even when you know you are right.

I care about ALL lives and I don't want to see anyone hurt or killed,policeman or demonstrator in a demonstration in Palestine. An embassy security guard doing his job. Or demonstrator accidentally blow himself up with a petrol bomb. People being held hostage in Iraq. BBC journalists, staff and security guards.

So I am glad that the UK press is not printing the cartoons even though they have a legal right to. And I'd like the radio and all the media to drop the whole debate. By not writing they can save lives.

The cartoon matter was very interesting once I gathered all the facts, and the argument became clear. I wrote a strong rational article, but then realized now is not the time for a rational debate; so I withdrew it. . You can't have a rational debate with paranoid gunmen.

The terrorist threats have won. We have to self censor and accept that gunmen from outside our own country have succeeded and taken away our absolute right to free speech.

We have to save lives today. And accept we still have freedom about 99% of things.

It's a pity, but if journalists are to be safe maybe we have to drop all public debate about Islam.

Muslims and non-muslims agree about so many things. We all have to avoid getting distracted in minor debates and use our time to make the world a better place. End......

Now I give up my right to freedom of speech. When guys with guns and bombs say they will kill you if they don't like what they say, then the only realistic option to stop the violence is to close my mouth and keep my thoughts in my mind say before you could say what you want, in the last couple of months times have changed.

Terrorists are twisted people who appoint themselves with the right to kill, outside the ideal only to kill in order to save lives.

We are still free to talk about any democratic countries.

Do we self censor, cos of economic influence ? There are 2 big undemocratic countries we hold our tongue about.
