| Never an Empty Stage In the midst of all beautiful hearts, Through earthly triumph and tragedy, While souls wait for the next godly act, In a world full of fear, confusion and rage, There is never an empty seat, There is never an empty stage. Forever should there be applause, Because of how well it is written, Collages of spirits, the cast ofthe world, Audience of angels, so lights never dim, He's chosen our roles, We glorify him. So as the play unfolds in its grace, The coming together of souls, Touching so briefly, yet some evermore, Sent forth from hands almighty and grand, A stage with no curtain, No script on demand. The truest and greatest of stories, Never to fail, never to end, For all days are merely beginnings, With no intermission nor stall, God as the writer, Director of all. So we have come out in full costume, Accepting our dutiful roles, No matter the struggle, no matter the joy, God's written us in on each page, Never an empty seat in the house, Never an empty stage. |
