Praying Church: a life of prayer, October 7, 2001

To bring unity to our prayers, we are calling for

"A State of Prayer" within our fellowship and including all who

would join us in this time of tragedy in our nation and hope in our

God. During this time, (wherever and whenever), we can pray:

1. For our leaders of our government and the church.

(1 Timothy 2:1-4)

2. For wisdom for us all and especially those in authority.

(James 1:5)

3. Regarding our enemies

(Psalm 27), (Matthew 5:44, 45), (Ephesians 6:12),

(Acts 7:59-8:3 and Acts 9:1-20) (the account of Saul {Paul})

4. With God's armor on us

(Ephesians 6:10-18)

5. In confidence in our Lord and in his word

(James 4:7), (James 5:13-16), (Matthew 18:18-20)
