Asmarom Legesse is an anthropologist, Ph.D. (Harvard), Emeritus Professor of
Anthropology, formerly of Northwestern University, Boston University,
Swarthmore College, (1968-1991), Academic Vice President of the University of
Asmara (1995-96), Chairman of the Eritrean Relief Committee (USA) (1984-91),
and Chairman of the First National Conference on the Rights of Child Convention
(1996).
Citizens for Peace in Eritrea (CPE) is a
non-governmental organization that is dedicated to human rights and peaceful
methods of conflict resolution. The primary mission of the Eritrean American
Action Network for Peace (EANP) is to help bring about permanent peace between
Eritrea & Ethiopia, and stability in the region.
Co-sponsored by CPE, EANP and the Eritrean American
Community of Philadelphia
