I can't keep up with concerts!! I've seen too many to keep up! But if you know me, you know that 80% of the concerts I go to are Fear Factory. Why you ask? Because they rule, I answer. They are the most intellectual, thought driven band out there! Don't belive me? Then I challenge you to a duel...you find a band as thought-stimulating (with fucking awesome music to boot) and I'll put your name and the band up here. Sound good? Good. Now get to it!!Some concert "souviners" I have collected over the years...
I have more nowadays, but I don't have the time, scanner, or energy to post them all up here. But I can at least tell you what concerts I've seen in the past 2 years.
I saw Audioslave at the State Theatre, wow, what a show. And I was 6 months pregnant to boot! What a trooper! I love the State Theatre, it is so personal, the stage is literally not even 2 feet from the floor. And you can get right up to the stage. If Chris Cornell wanted to slap the audiences hands (which he really doesn't do too much) he only has to reach out, instead of out and down.
Next concert I saw was Fear Factory at Harpos, and they weren't even headlining! Isn't that some shit! Oh well, my girl Bryony and I had a BLAST, we were front and center on the 2nd level (the same level as the stage) because the pit was just too furious for us that day. (usually we do the pit, but people were coming out of there bleeding. No thanks.) Burton was the only bandmember we were able to chat with, but we got some great pictures, and now I have to tell everyone that Burton is my man! When I get access to a scanner, you will see what I mean!
And so not too long ago, I went to see Machine Head and DevilDriver at the Machine Shop in Flint. What a GREAT place to have a show! This place is better than the State Theatre for sure. I lost my shoe in the pit it was so crazy! I came out with a whole side of my body bruised, it was NUTS. But I had a blast, and I'm totally in love with the Machine Shop now, next time I'm able to see a super great concert out there, I am there faster than you can say "so, going to that _______ concert at the Machine Shop?"...Fear Factory Setlist, yoinked for me by Tony.
