Lady is the mother of us all. She's the only female dog in the house, and she likes it that way--nobody keeps the boys in line like she does. She's getting on in years, her legs are like sticks, and three out of the four boys outweigh her by at least 30 pounds, but she certainly doesn't know it. She's 10 feet tall and Luke-proof, and she rules with an iron paw! She can pin a 100 lb German Shepherd in 2 seconds flat, but Lady is the first to administer kisses to wounded egos, and she always soothes the boys after teaching them their lessons.
Lady had a great fear of most people, especially men, when she arrived at our door, but those days are long gone. I'd say she's really enjoying her retirement! So many cats to ambush, so little time..... |
