Bicycle Library
The Cascadia Rising Infoshop is still in the process of putting together a bicycle recycling and lending library program. The main function will  involve taking old and unwanted bicycles and either fixing them up to be used in our bicycle lending library (meaning that if you don't own a bicyle, you can come and check one out) or they will be parted out as much as possible to be used within the shop, or eventually be put to use in a parts program (where you can get used parts for your bicycle at no cost, or for work trade). Other projects that we would like to see come to life include;supplying a lock, light aand helmet with each bicycle, free school classes on bicycle maintenance and repair,  access to shop space and tools for repair work, bicycle trailer rentals, and organizing of community rides and events related to bike culture.

However, we have run into one major problem. That being, lack of interest and people willing to help out. So, consider this a call out for folks to get involved with the project.Whether you have interests in organizing events or ideas for programs that we should include, or just love to wrench on bikes (or would like to learn), we will greatly welcome the additional help. The Cascadia Education Collective is a collective that manages the infoshop, as well as the bicycle program, and is run entirely by volunteers made up of community members and activist. Unfortunately our resources are limited, and to make this program successful, we need your help. To get involved, please contact:

We are also accepting donations of bicycles for the lending library, parts to build and maintain working bicycles, bike specific tools, and yes, money (to help pay for rent and needed supplies.)
