Darcy earned a master's Degree in Art Therapy from Marylhurst University in 1994. Since then, she has had experience in working with children ages two thorugh 17 years old in a variety of settings, like schools, residential centers, day treatment, outpatient offices, and homes.

Darcy has had experience working with schools and collaborating with agencies in the Tre-County metropolitan Portland area, in Jefferson County, as well as the Evergreen School District in Vancouver, Washington. She obtained her National Registration in Art Therapy (ATR) from the American Art Therapy Association in 1998, #98-083.

Darcy has specialized post-graduate training in many areas, including Family Therapy, AD(H)D, Traumatic Experiences, Autistic Spectrum, Play Therapy, Attachment, and Resiliency.
