Paul wrote to tell me about Monty Laird's sad passing - I was very upset to hear this, and would like to extend belated condolences to Monty's family and friends. This is the longest I've been away from fandom, so please fill me in with anything I've been missing. Thanks so much!! If you know of any new Pete Duel memorabilia available, such as photos, DVD's or videos/articles, etc, please write and let me know, and I'll mention it next newsletter. "PENGUIN TV COMPANION" book ia a 800 page guide to TV programmes, and lists "ASJ" and has a separate article listing for Pete Duel. Price is 16.99 UK pounds, and is available from W.H.SMITH and other book retail outlets.

I'm pleased to report Geoff survived all those recent terrible hurricanes in Florida, and he and the family are all fine.
IN MEMORY OF PETE
The People's Trust For Endangered Species are appealing help to strengthen a fragile ancient woodland reserve on the Isle of Wight, Briddlesford Woods, which supports rare animals and plants. The establishment of the new woodlands will take place over the next few years, and visitors will be more than welcome to visit the site. Large quantities of seed from Oak, Ash, Field, Maple, Hazel and Hawthorn trees will be planted - and if you would like to help purchase atree, and dedicate it in memory of Pete, you will receive a beautiful gift certificate. HILLSIDE ANIMAL SANCTUARY APPEAL
The Hillside Animal Sanctuary are appealing for an area of meadowland to purchase close to their sanctuary, which will give animals additional shelter and grazing. Every 2.00 UK pounds you donate allows them to purchase one square yard of land, and you will receive a certificate in memory of Pete. Gret news - the price of this has now dropped down to $54.55 for a set of these reels, plus the Viewmaster Viewer included. But the more fans who participate- the cheaper it will be and the price will come down even lower! Please write and let me know if you are interested - thanks so much.
