A monarch
resplendent in
in black and orange hues,
flies yearly
from tip to tip
as a challenge 
from nature
to understand
the true meaning
of flight.

Realization becomes
reality
when the caterpillar disappears
in a death
of its own making,
to emerge
once more again
forever changed
into Nature's beauty.
