Like a whimsical dream
of lollipops and unicorns,
our thoughts drift into
the joyous memories
of times before.

A dizzying ride
on the merry-go-round 
in Central Park -
a green oasis
in a jungle of urban living.

We are drawn back
to our childhood days
where we played
knights and queens -
silvery hairnets
serving as both
veil and armour.
