Silence
meets flailing arms,
as words struggle to find a place
amongst the jumble of thoughts
that demand exposure
even as they fall over one another
in the flurry to be heard.

A gaping hole forms in the room
where the burgeoning question remains
like a pink elephant
amongst the furniture -- 
sally forth or pull back,
where does each decision lead?
