The Dance - November 20, 2000

The wild chinook winds
jettison the flakes
in swirling eddies
against pitch black skies
as the streetlights
cast an unearthly glow
for this wintery dance.

Faster and faster
the snowflakes dance -
a million whirling dervishes
that take us
into another land
of whiteness.
