Cocoon - July 9, 2000

I will be
moving into an 
automatic state
of existence
where nothing will perturb me,
nothing will unhinge me,
where feeling is all
inside
only to seep out
onto the page.

This price I pay
for serenity
will not be high enough
if I can find some means
of happiness at the end.

I have three seasons to watch.

I have time to prepare
as I begin
to withdraw
to within.
