THE BOTTOM LINE ON THE INCREDIBLE HULK TELEVISION SERIES

Many people in their mid 20's or early 30's remember watching The Incredible Hulk on Friday night back when it aired in the late 70's/early 80's. Fans of all ages were glued to the television set to watch the intelligent, friendly David Banner try to find a cure to "the creature," and of course it was always fun to watch someone make him angry or a nightmare would occur and the eyes would change color and everyone knew what came next..... the big green muscular hulk played by Lou Ferrigno to show everyone whose boss.

The series starting out with season 1 and great episodes like the pilot which explained everything and 747 which shows David trying to fight off the transformation while flying a plane! Then the second season opened up with a spectacular 2 parter episode entitled "Married." where David Banner (Bill Bixby) meets a doctor named Caroline Fields whom he ends up marrying and they try to help each other with their "problems." And Mystery Man in season 2 was also an awesome 2 part episode where Jack Mcgee (a reporter for the National Register learns a man transforms into the Hulk, giving his so-called newspaper another excuse so he can still go chasing the Hulk around different places.  On to the 3rd season which gave fans the episode "Homecoming," where David reunites with his sister and Father to try and save the family farm, this episode gets very emotional with David and his father. Next came another great season, season 4 which opened up with a very popular episode among fans, a 2 parter episode "Prometheus" David comes across a meteor and his transformation get stuck half way and he is captured by the US army to be researched, and probably the most popular episode among most of the Hulk TV Series fans the infamous unforgettable episode "The First" where David encounters another man who can turn into a Hulk, and this episode has my favorite transformation scene at the end.

After a successful 4th season there was speculation as to whether or not the 5th season of 7 episodes that were filmed but never aired would be brodcasted, but luckily CBS was generous enough to air them for the fans. Season 5 was not filled with great episodes or 2 parter episodes or any 2 parter episodes at all but nonetheless 7 more episodes for the fans to watch. All the episodes that were filmed were aired as stated by Kenneth Johnson in his interview conducted by Mark Rathwell. So at least the Hulk fans will never go on wondering if there was ever an episode that was never aired. Then a few years passed and the show still received so much fan mail that Bixby and ferrigno reunited to make "The Incredible Hulk Returns." In this movie David is still trying to find a cure to get rid of the Hulk and also Thor is in this one played by Eric Kramer. One year later "The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk" airs where David is accused of assaulting a woman in a subway train and Daredevil is in this one (snore snore) and helps David try to get back the woman from Wilson Fisk ( read more in my review of that movie in the episode guide section). 1 year passed and in 1990 "The Death Of The Incredible Hulk" was aired where David transforms into the Hulk and the Hulk is killed by falling out of an airplane (read more in my review of this movie in the episode guide section). There were plans for another movie but Bill Bixby died of cancer in 1994.
