THE DEATH OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK
1990
Right after the Trial Of The Incredible Hulk fans were treated to another 2 hour movie entitled the Death Of The Incredible Hulk. In this movie David Banner goes to work at a science laboratory in disguise as a man a little on the slow side so that he could get into Dr. Pratt's science lab. Soon David was caught by Dr. Pratt but David explained himself and Pratt was fascinated. Dr. Pratt and his wife then helped David try to find a cure to the creature. Then an accidental fire occurred at the lab injuring Dr. Pratt who remained in the hospital in critical condition. Dr. Pratt recovered only to be lured to a couple of terrorists. David and Jasmine (a girlfriend David meets along the way) now have to get Mr. and Mrs. Pratt out of the terrorists hands. And most of you know the rest how David transforms into the Hulk and The Hulk falls off of a moving airplane. The end of this movie was very emotional with Jasmine saying, "David don't die, we could be free now." David then replies in his last words, "Jasmine.. I am free." This I think may have been the best out of the three Hulk post TV series movies. I think Lou was really pumped up for this one -- I think bigger than he ever was and the Hulk makeup was great. A couple of bad things were that there was no Jack Mcgee and of course a very upsetting ending-- The Hulk dies and David Banner dies! But it was great, they even showed David have a flash back of a couple Hulk incidents when he Dr. Pratt was doing an experiment on him-- they showed footage from the pilot in the flashback! This had a lot of action unlike Trial Of The Incredible Hulk which I think was basically a big upset for most of the true die hard Hulk fans of the series. And as most people know there were plans to produce another Hulk film but unfortunately the great Bill bixby died of cancer in 1994 (RIP).... I look at it this way-- at least the Incredible Hulk had some sense of closure with even though he died, I mean would you have rather seen him just disappear in the Trial of The Incredible Hulk? Anyway I thought this movie had tons of action and drama and was great.
