| How will this help |
| At the conclusion of the seminar the attendees will have learnt much about the logistics and the mechanics of what goes into the staging of an entertainment event. They will have a greater knowledge of the costs involved, the regulation and liscencing needs, the physical, human and intelectual components, and safety and security aspects of an event. The aim is not just to make people more aware at entertainment events but more aware generally. We aim to enlighten people and make them more observant at all times. We also give skills that will prove useful if ever there is an emergency situation in which they are involved. The seminars also afford the opportunity to involve adolescents and their parents independantly and together as a group. Some sessions will be parent free to allow "free speech" and then when parents are there also a more truthful dialogue is achieved without anyone being singled out. Each session has a Question and Answer section to allow all participants to have their say. The seminars also carry printed information literature as well as audio visual aids in the presentation. In the past the sessions have been conducted at High Schools to year 11 and 12 students during the day, and their parents joined them for the evening session. Along with interested members of the local community. The information gained by the convieners from these sessions is of invaluable assistance in the planning of future events. The organisers are in touch with their audiences. And each knows what to expect of the other. |
