Phi Delta Kappa
Meridian Area Chapter
#1230
Meridian, Mississippi
The Phi Delta Kappa Creed:

To win, in the fresh dawn of our youth, the everlasting love of faithful friends, who will go with us, unmoved, into the darking shadow of life's closing day.

To clasp us by the hand, each one of us, in our triumphs, our disappointments, our sorrows and our joys, all in the common bond of Phi Delta Kappa.

To reverence and to respect all things pertaining to the Divine; and so, by a kinder thought each day, promote better fellowship through the earth.

To remain always chivalrous, placing womanhood on a pedestal, deserving of such a place as the mothers of our posterity; and by so doing, create an ideal by which our lives might be governed.

To be honest in our feelings with our fellowmen, and in so doing, keep intact the trust places in us by the dependable medium of fraternal love.

To be tolerant in our actions and our thoughts; defying not the Supreme Laws of God and Nature; and in preserving the freshness of our youth.

To have a complete knowledge of the ideals inscribed in our Ritual, and be always ready to defend; to translate and to abide by these ideals.

To be the first to commend, the last to condemn; tolerate and lend a firm helping hand to those who have erred; thereby to have, to hold, to win, and to cherish the trust, the bond of brotherhood and the high ideals endowed upon us, by the right to wear that Golden Shield of Phi Delta Kappa.
