Tombstone: The Town to Tough to Die
Here are a few photos of Tombstone. Some I took while we are on our early morning walks, and the streets are empty.
buildings courthouse
Some of the old buildings in the historic district along Allen street. The old historic courthouse on Toughnut street. Tombstone was the Cochise county seat until the 1920's, when they moved the county seat to Bisbee.
silver nugget
bird cage
The old Silver Nugget saloon, now a bed & breakfast, and cafe.
The old Bird Cage Theater. This was early Tombstone's place to see travelling entertainment. It is reputed to be haunted and people have seen orbs and ghostly figures there.
six gun city
big nose kate
Shootout at Six Gun City. This place has little reenactments every day, while you sip a beer or have a sandwhich.
Horse rides in front of the old Big Nose Kates Saloon. This place is also reputedly haunted by the ghost of an old miner.
library
The Tombstone Library, located in the old railroad station.
