Acadian Village in Lafayette, and then Mardi Gras |

We also visited Acadian Village just outside of Lafayette. THis was made up of old buildings brought from various towns in the area to make a village similar to the early 1800's.
On Fat Tuesday we went into downtown Lafayette for three parades, the culmination of the festival week. |

The theme for the Lafayette Mardi Gras Association was 'Birds of Paradise', so all the floats had some type of bird theme to it. |
