Key West and Southwest Florida |
We got up early the last day we spent in Key West to a beautiful sunrise. Then we left and drove up highway 1 again. We stopped at Marathon key and went out to Pidgeon Key, a historic site having to do with the original railroad to Key West. Then we headed back to Florida City for a night and then drove west across the Tamiami Trail. |

As the sun slowly came up behind the low clouds, the sky took on an interesting look. |

As we headed back north along highway 1, we stopped to visit Pidgeon Key, a historic site involved with building the original railroad to Key West back in the early 1900's. |

There were some strangely colorful birds that the airboat driver coaxed in with some crackers. |
