History

Jerusalem Singers was founded in May of 1996 by Pete Deshler, a 1997 graduate of West Chester University.   The purpose of the group is to perform contemporary and traditional Christian music.  In 1998, we began collecting canned food for the New Bethany Ministries in Bethlehem, PA as part of our community service efforts.  Since 2003, we have also been performing a benefit concert for the American Cancer Society at the end of every season.  We recorded a CD of original music by Pete Deshler, Matt Hill, and John Shilanskas to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in 2005.  The group continues to perform throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.
