Brief recap over DISHA-2002 By: Mallinath S Hatti
-
Highlights of ?PDA Alumini Meet? By: Channabasava Yadrami
-
Discussed DISHA-2002 Feedback.
-
Satishreddy felt that, college should allow students to do their projects
in the industries. This is possible only when students don?t have any theory
subjects in 8th Semester. But as we understand from one of our
junior that there is atleast one theory subject in 8th semester.
One idea is to allow 8th Semester students for period of 3 months
(including vacation) to complete their projects and then complete the theory
subject in remaining 2 months. This need to be conveyed to the college
very strongly.
-
8th semester students should select ?best faculty of the year/term?
and award the lecturer.
-
We/College staff should make aware to all students studying in different
semesters about the importance of students presenting papers/innovations
in the other colleges/industries etc. This helps the students be competitive
with other college students and also college will have special importance
to industries?.
-
College should start initiatives to market its capability of students/standard
of education in the industries so that companies should participate in
any events organized by the college and also they should be ready to sponsor
projects/campus recruitments etc?.
-
All team members agreed that, need to add/improve over DISHA-2002 agenda.
Hence following are few new additions/improvements over DISHA-2002 agenda.
-
Need to include "Mock GD by students".
-
Need to include "Tips for Written test preparation" while searching job.
-
Need to add more information to the ?Interesting Academic Projects? session
like Minimum system requirements, Information and Feasibility.
-
Need to add more information to the ?Higher education options? session.
-

team members opinion is that, the technical talks need to cover following
fields: VLSI, DSP/Embedded and Communication etc?.
