· Group Discussion

Topic: Economic slow down causes and impact

This covers a mock Group Discussion by the team members on the above topic, followed by the Good practices of the Group Discussion. During analysis talk about how to prepare for Group Discussion and how to respond to a chosen topic during Group Discussion.

Duration: 60 minutes (5 Mins -> Announce topic, 20 Mins -> GD, 30 Mins -> Analysis)
· Project How?

Here one should talk about the methodology followed by the industries to execute any project from scratch and tell how the same methodology helps the students if they follow the same during their academic project execution.

· Interesting academic projects

This talk can guide the students about what are very interesting projects which can be done as a part of the course and those have some added value for the different organizations. This can talk about the projects, which attracts different companies, which are into different fields of application like VLSI, DSP, Embedded systems, Computer Networks, Telecommunication, Application software and System software etc….

Mock interview, first take interview to one of the 8th Semester student and followed by the same interview by one of our team member. At the end talk about how to prepare resume and covering letter. Also, about good practices Before During and After Interview.

Duration: 60 minutes  (20 Mins -> 8th Semester student interview, 20 Mins -> Our team member interview, 20 Mins -> Analysis)

· What next? Part - I

Talk about the higher education options, please try to give more stress on pursuing the higher education than immediately thinking of start searching job after just completion of B.E. Give details about different higher education options like GATE/CAT/GRE/TOFEL. Also, talk on the best institutes in the world (Include India's IIT's and IISc) that offer specialized courses in their institutes. Also, talk about their mode of admission, this should concentrate on test/interview conducted by each institutes apart from common test/s GATE/GRE. Talk bit about different types of courses they offer in their institutes like M.Tech. M.S. (Engg) and PhD etc…. Also, go through the facilities at campus and stipend/aid offered by the institutes.

This should cover openings in the different fields in the industries like VLSI, DSP, Embedded systems, Networking, Telecommunication, Application software, System software and needless to say opportunities at different R&D public sector organizations and also defence organizations. Talk about the companies that are into different fields located all over India and abroad. Also, talk about different types of skills set they are looking in the candidates who apply to their organizations. Talk on any research related topics covers all types of research. Basically concentrates on the R & D related work. Also, talk about entrepreneurship, apprentice training benefits and training institutes.

· Bridging gaps between Industry and College

This talk is basically expectations of industry from students. Explain the gaps and suggest the possible solutions. Talk about how to give industry exposure to the students during study itself. Also, talk about how can they improve their other skills like communication skills apart from technical skills during study itself. Also, give suggestions to staff how they can be helpful in preparing students for the same.

This is a general session. In this session, all the students are allowed to ask any questions at the end of the day's program, which may not be related to any of our on going sessions or may be related to any one of our sessions. All the team members address these questions. This is a general Q & A session.
