HEROIN FOR THE MASSES

Torn from innocence to lies
Fragile life intensified
Forced to prove my vision's real
Sanity's lost its appeal

Praise the lord
And the analysts
Describe my inner clashes
Prescribe me some
For my inner rift
Its heroin for the masses

Found solace in a loveless friend
Dare to decieve the current trend
Contagious dreams of social mores
Open minds yet close the doors

Praise the lord
And the analysts
Describe my inner clashes
Prescribe me some
For my inner rift
Its heroin for the masses

I'm far from gone
on methadone
but struggle with my tourniquet

Praise the lord
And the analysts
Describe my inner clashes
Prescribe me some
For my inner rift
Its heroin for the masses

Lyrics: Connor
Music: Jackson

why write this song? well, i saw a documentary on tv about a journalist who, in his quest to create an accurate portrayal of life as a junkie, became addicted himself. he then threw away his life and job, and is still in rehab. this song is essentially about modern entertainment...work it out yourself, dopey.
peace, davo
