PD UK is led by Otto Soeharjono MS, who has over 24 years experience practising the art. He is also a recognised international referee and jury member/judge. First introduced to PD by his cousin, he learnt from a number of teachers including the grandmaster and with many of the pendekars (masters) in Indonesia.

This gave him the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the system. Otto Soeharjono MS moved to London from Indonesia in 1983 and was appointed as UK & Eire chief representative in 1984 with official silat and Indonesian government certificates of commendation for his activities. Since then he has been sharing his knowledge in the UK and is one of the founders of Pencak Silat Federation UK (PSF UK).
