Dear Family and Friends,

Okay, all, here's the deal, please keep this apartment situation in your
prayers.  I am suddenly back at square one again!  Apparently, after I saw
the apartment again yesterday with the Peace Corps, the landpeople had a
"family meeting" and determined that the problems in the bathroom and in the
apartment couldn't be fixed (most likely the decided they didn't have the
time or money to mess with this!), so they can't rent me the apartment.
It's all for the best, really, because that place was a DISASTER AREA that
would require way too much work and I didn't want to live there anyways.
So, the apartment search begins once again and I must stay put for the time
being.  A better place is bound to come along now, right?!!?  God really
knows just how to work everything out perfectly, even in the little country
of Bulgaria!  I'll keep you updated, but, for now, I wait!!!  I love and
miss you all!

Love Always,
Chantel

Continued Apartment Update....

Mom,

Well, I saw another apartment today.  I like this one a lot.  For one thing,
it's in the center of town right next to the bus station, which sold me on
it right away.  I would love to be closer to school!  But, it's a
decent-sized apartment, with a kitchen a bedroom, a shower, and a toilet.
You have to go up these little stair into this little cove-thing to use the
toilet!  There is only my apartment in this little section of this building,
so the steps leading into the place are even all mine and it also has two
doors. It's missing a few neccessary items, like a refridgerator and dishes
and stuff, but it isn't lived in and so I had to agree to live there so that
they can bring dishes, a refridgerator, a wardrobe, a desk, etc. into the
place.  I really like it, just as long as it has the items it is missing.  I
am going to take my list of required items to my director tomorrow so that
she can make sure that it has everything before I move in and then I'll
probably move in my the end of the week.  It is definitely much better than
the other place I saw and many aspects of it are even better than the place
I'm in now!  Especially the fact that I'll be so close to school!  And, if
by chance they don't give me something I need, I can get settling in money
from the PC to buy any necessary items and they have to make sure I have all
the requirements.  For instance, it doesn't have a balcony (which doesn't
bother me, really), so I'm not sure where I'll hang wet clothes and I'll
probably have to get one of those indoor drying racks, which is what Marisa
has to use.  So, we'll see.

Continued Apartment Update....

Mom,

I couldn't be MORE blessed with this new apartment.  I just can't stop
thanking God and feeling so unworthy of all of his blessings.  Right now, I
am on the internet in the new apartment.  I didn't have to DO A THING to set
it up because I now have a touch tone phone with and ACTUAL PHONE CORD!  So,
all I have to do is connect the cord from the phone to my computer, like
normal.  I love my new apartment in so many ways so far and it suits me
perfectly.  God took care of this so perfectly.  I left too many things for
myself to bring though and you should have seen me trying to get it all over
here at once!  My arms ache, but I managed!  I just had to walk it all to a
taxi in Samokovo.  Anyway, I have to shower so I can get to Sofia to get my
printer and get money for the trip to Italy.  I still have to stop by the
old apartment to get some junk that I'm putting into the orphanage auction,
a ton of shoes that are worn out and I won't wear anymore, as well as a few
shirts.  It's going for a good cause.  Well, I gotta go! Love you!  Thanks for all your
prayers and you know they're working and that I'm feeling them!
