Pacific Coast Modular Club
Topics from monthly meeting
August 06
* Park shows will now be considered as work sessions, and these will be an opertunity to work on modules. We will still invite the public, but will not install plexiglas or backdrops. The focus at these shows will be doing work instead of running trains. Members are still invited to bring trains to run, but are asked to keep the number of trains and or cars to a minimum.

* We would also like to do work sessions at members' homes. In these cases we will not set up the modules as a layout, we will just work on a members' moudules.

* The next show is far away, and members should take this opertunity to work on scenary. All mainlines need to get ballested and all plywood needs to be covered.

* Equipment needs to be worked on also. Get Kadee couplers on cars and locomotives. Make sure wheels are in gauge and car has enough weight.

* We will install a facia on all modules now. The facia is to be painted flat black and will have a slot for the plexiglas to slide into. The facia must be clean clean and free of scratches. The facia should never touch the ground. When carrying a module with a facia, never set the module with the facia side down, not even for a second.

* When a module is to be left unattended, it must be laying flat on floor or leaning against a wall at an angle so there is no chance of it falling forward.
