Entry for March 15, 2007 -- Quotes in Signature Files

Good Morning:

Today was a rare morning indeed.  My paper arrived before I went upstairs to hold my cat -- before 5 am!  AND I had time to read some of the important stuff such as what time the NCAA games I care about start, my horrorscope and there was an interesting article on the front page of the Living section about Quotes in email signature files. Click here to read the article.

They discuss whether it is appropriate to have quote in business signatures.  What are your thoughts? I find them amusing myself.  I do not have a quote on the business signature file but I do on my home email account and I have a second signature file set up at work called "fun" which also has my favorite quote "Work like you don't need the money, Dance like no one is watching and Love like you have never been hurt".

The article references a website of quotes.  Check it out. Coolsig.com

One question I have had is about the legal sounding disclaimers at the end of emails.  Are they binding in any way?  I do not think so and it is easily removed when forwarding the heck out the message...
