Entry for March 9, 2007 -- RSS Feeds

I created a bloglines account almost a year ago.  I attended a Web 2.0 pre-conference session at the WLA conference in Tacoma.  It was excellent. The class was taught by Michael Stephens -- Tame the Web and Jenny Levine -- The Shifted Librarian.

Did you know that if you use Aquabrowser to search our catalog, you can get an RSS feed for the search you performed?  This is very similar to doing a search while logged into My Account and saving the search and asking to emailed when new items are attached.

I added a feed to Unshelved.  I already had 2 feeds coming from the Seattle Times.  One for the book reviews and the other, of course for the Mariners.

I still find it tough to find the time to read the new entries.  However, when I am ready for a new book to read, I will sometimes peruse the reviews for ideas.
