How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?

This program helped support my lifelong learning goals.  I love learning new things about computers but I do not always take the time to learn them.  While I did several of these exercises on my own time -- and went back to some for entertainment! It was nice to have the added nudge to keep going.

What were your favorite Learning 2.0 discoveries or exercises?

MySpace, Flickr and YouTube.  With MySpace, I was able to connect with my nieces and become their "friends" in a new environment.  I want to re-visit Wikis because I think they will be a great resource for KCLS.

Did anything surprise you?

Was there enough help available when you needed it?

Yes! It was great having the other advocates would could answer questions. With MySpace, I actually asked my niece who does lots of stuff on her page and is logged on a lot.

What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?

I think the amount of time it takes to do each task was greatly under-estimated.  So more time would be good.  The tracking logs, it was not clear which exercises were covered by the "weeks" logging.  I did not always stay on the weeks so I was not always sure which exercises were covered with those logs.

Also, the permanent link line on the log grouped exercises but the exercises said to make a blog entry for each so I sometimes was not sure which permanent link to give you.

Would you like to see similar training opportunities as new library-relevant technologies emerge?

Yes!  I think this is a great way to explorer new topics.  We can work at our own pace and spend as little or as much time as we want on each topic.

And, last one, if you could go back in time and tell yourself to either participate in the program or skip it, what would you do?

I would do it in a heartbeat! I learned a lot and it gave me a chance to work with co-workers I would not have otherwise worked.
