Entry for May 14, 2007 -- Exercise #24 Podcasts
I listened to several podcasts -- or at least the beginning of several! One thing that I would find useful is knowing how long the entry is. I can listen to 7 minutes of Library news -- okay so I made through about 4 before I got interrupted! However, I started listening to some and the introductions took over a minute. I also kept looking back at the podcast window thinkings I would see a video. I was not sure what to do with myself while I listened. I found it I surfed the web for other stuff, I stopped listening. So I played games! I think podcasts would be great for giving short news updates. For example, we could post a podcast talking about the closing of the Fall City Library and where they can go to pick up holds. Arron Schmidt talked about creating downloadable podcasts for self-tours of our libraries. This would really a good way to emphasize some of the art we have as well as changing sculptures at Kirkland. 2007-05-14 16:21:56 GMT

Oooh, podcast tours would be cool! I think the UW libraries have something like that.
