Summer of 2002, The Silver Strings of Putnam City traveled to Branson, MO, St. Louis, MO, Springfield, IL, Chicago, IL, and Kansas City, MO.
During our eight-day trip, we performed for Beverly Health Care (a nursing home at Branson, MO), St. Louis Music Company (where many of our instruments came from), two Chicago public schools, Richard Daily Plaza Lunch Concert Series, Chicago Music Mart at DePaul Center Noon Concert Series, and North Kansas City Friday Lunch Concert Series.
Our sightseeing included: Shoji Tabuchi Show, Meramec Caverns, Gateway Arch, Abraham Lincoln Home National Historical Sight, Driving Tour of Chicago, Dinner/Dance Cruise on Ugly Duck Cruise Ship, Mrs. Guevara's Childhood Home, Hallmark Center, Worlds of Fun Theme Park, tour of Kansas City Jazz District, Lewis & Clark Lookout, Union Station, and the Harry S. Truman Library.
