Paulo Correia was born in Portugal and he has been living in Bloomington, Indiana since August 1999. During the last few years, he has been making handcrafted artifacts with dry flowers and leaves. He does it as a hobby. He likes to use natural flowers and leaves from wild plants to create a wide variety of crafts such as framed pictures, photo frames, mirrors, greeting cards, decorative boxes, bulletin boards and lampshades. He has done several exhibitions in his home country and here in Bloomington. The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce his work made during his staying in Bloomington. He created these compositions while he was taking care of his “most beautiful flower” - his daughter, Ana Catarina. |
