Willy Truitt speaks, the league listens!

---------------- Press Release -------------- 10/25/01

First and foremost I would like to clarify one thing. Can Jeff Henney catch the ball? I haven't been able to find this out and it is delaying the first draft of my revised pacific northwest offense. Can I get 'Scoop' Newell to send his people out to find me an answer? All I hear is of his past high school basketball skills. I agree with a recent Josh Williamson quote in the Oblong Post, "Everyone was a star in high school or college, the difference-maker is being able to maintain that level when you get to Corkbowl." All I need is 4 catches and 1 touchdown out of the rookie, that's all. Also, don't fumble.

Watch out for the blitz brothers this year! We have installed a defensive package this year that is reminiscent of the '85 Bears. We won't hide, like you won't score. Look for interceptions to be plentiful from the inexperienced quarterback of Sanders. I'm tired of hearing about his 2 completions in Corkbowl X. If you are going to say that he is competent to QB because of 2 passes, then you might as well say that Firehouse was the group of the 80's and that Tony Cork didn't invent the wheel. Who are you trying to fool? He'll be lucky if he is still taking snaps in the 2nd Quarter.

There is no need hiding our game plan. The three proven recievers (R.Truitt, G.Howard, and J.Williamson) are all of the same pedigree, slim and fast runners who play a similar style that, in the game of Corkbowl has proven to be dominating.

I'll leave it at that for now - "Reg, Greg, Josh and Jeff are my teammates" -- "Our job is to win games"

Best regards,

Willy D. Truitt (number one ranked passer, number one ranked qb)
