Message from Scott Boras - Agent of Willy Truitt Press Release --------- 10/24/01--------- Associated Press First and foremost, I am very delighted to be involved in yet another Corkbowl. I have talked to my client, Willy Truitt, and he is very exicited to have the opportunity to play in this year's game and further cement his spot in the Cork Bowl Hall of Fame as the premier quarterback of the modern era. Not to take anything away from Tony Cork, but that was simply a different era and a much slower game. He is also confident that he will receive his 5th championship this year, including his 3rd straight. As Willy has said to me many times, "It has been an incredible run these past few years, but I'd be lying if I said that the goal for us this year is anything less than a championship." While the past has been great for my client, it is all about right now - its the year 2001 and its Cork Bowl 11, its as simple as that! Lastly, as a word of advise, W. Truitt did issue this statement from his Charleston residence: "Don't throw rocks at the throne, do not bark up that tree, that tree will fall on you."
