Water & Sewer
Public water is provided by the Town of Hurt. Processed water is purchased from the neighboring town of Altavista. Hurt's water distribution system was constructed in 1985. Average daily usage is 85,000 gpd with a maximum daily capacity of 200,000 gpd. Storage capacity is 250,000 gallons.
Public sewer is available in the commercial district along Ricky Van Shelton Drive on the eastern side of town. It is also available along Pocket Road on the Western side of town.

Electricity

Telephone
