Government
Hurt is governed by a Mayor and Town Council. All are elected at-large to serve in four-year staggered terms. The town’s daily operations are overseen by the Town Manager, who is appointed by the Council. Regular meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in Council Chambers at the Hurt Town Hall.
