       Through the vital role of Guidance and Counseling, the department commits itself for the formation of mentally healthy professionals who are competent and dedicated to their professions.

GOALS:

  1. To develop productive and competent students imbued with desirable Filipino values through quality leadership training.
  2. To create among the students a sense of responsibility, leadership, teamwork and camaraderie through counseling.
  3. To instill a deep understanding of oneself and to value the importance of the chosen profession.
  4. To establish linkages with governmental and non-governmental agencies for pre-employment testing.
  5. To develop and design our very own entrance/qualifying examination intended for the multi-cultural mix of the students in the region and neighboring provinces.

ADMISSION:

      Administering entrance and qualifying examination to incoming freshmen and transferees.

INFORMATION:

      Directing students, parents and visitors to the different department and sections in the various campuses.

COUNSELING:

  • Directing the students to acquire and develop proper study habits;
  • Guiding the students to avail the academic resources of the campus;
  • Assisting the students to become members of the peer counselor organization;
  • Monitoring the students with academic, vocational and personal problems;
  • Coordinating the academic and co-curricular activities of the students;
  • Assisting academic and non-academic scholarships;
  • Assisting the applicants to avail the pre-employment testing and various pre-employment and post-counseling.


      ZAEC offers various types of scholarship in order to ensure that all qualified students of Region IX who want to receive quality education from the Zamboanga A.E. Colleges, are not deprived of the opportunity even if they lack financial resources.
