I had given dating a change in the past and never with any good results. I never really lasted with my 'boyfriends' and always felt empty because they usually always began with physical attraction. I Kissed Dating Good-Bye was a huge encouragement, and I would like to challenge all of you out there to look into reading this book. I can't say I agreed with everything in I Kissed Dating Good-Bye, because we all have our different convictions; however, the book is still wonderful to read. In I Kissed Dating Good-Bye Harris writes in detail of the gift of singleness. This is a season in our lives where we build a foundation in Christ before we plant a seed in an intimate relationship. Harris asks important questions for the reader. Some of these questions are "Does your current relationship hinder you from serving God as a single person? "What is your motivation in relationships, pleasing yourself or serving others?" Josh thourghly gives you the choice. The basis of I Kissed Dating Good-Bye is to help the reader draw back to God and build patience and trust in Him. Then, at the right season in our individual lives, our Heavenly Father will bring us to the person we will one day marry. Josh challenges you as a reader to use singleness as a time for growing in God and growing in faith. Through I Kissed Dating Good-Bye, we are given the perspective of seeing singleness as a blessing.
