Rev. Phillips came in contact with the young spirit filled Mary Louise Coore while conducting his evangelistic meetings in Browns Town, St. Ann. She gave her heart to the Lord at the tender age of "10". Mary Coore was blessed with the gift of healing and teaching. In fact, she was often referred to as the girl with the healing hands. Thus the partnership was formed. The Evangelistic partnership between Raglan Phillips and Mary Coore began gaining momentum as they moved through the four corners of Jamaica with their message of Salvation, Healing, Holiness and the second coming of Christ. Many people were healed, saved and delivered.

After the death of Rev. Raglan Phillips in June 1930, the movement continued to grow from strength to strength. Under the very capable leadership of Bishop Mary Coore until her departure from this life in June 1964. Presently our General Overseer is Bishop D. L. Walters Ph.D. who also Pastors' Los Angeles City Mission.

The Pentecostal City Mission churches headquarters is located at 15 Blount Street, Hannah Town, Jamaica W.I. The Lord has enlarged the terrority of the Pentecostal City Mission since it's inception in 1924. Currently there are 64 City Mission branches throughout Jamaica, W.I.; 5 branches in New York; 12 branches in England; 2 branches in Canada; 2 branches in California; 5 branches in Florida and 1 branch in Belize, Central America.
