The Rifle Guard is a part of the world-famous Charger Marching Band. The marching band has marched all over the United States from Florida to California. Last year the Chargers were the lead band in the Hollywood Christmas Parade with four minutes of air time. The Rifle Guard held the "Pearl City" shields. We were at the very front of the parade. In previous year the band has marched in parades such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Rose Bowl.

Every year Mr. David A. Wells comes down from Boise State University to teach the band how to march. There is a two day cavalcade leadership workshop open to other schools and a one week long practice schedule with only the Pearl City Band. During the week long "Wells Week," A.K.A. Hells Week, Mr Wells teaches us the show that we will march during the year. There is a performance at the end of the week for the parents and friends. All of you are invited as well. :-)

Throughout the year we practice on a regular basis with the band. We also have sectionals, which is why we looks SO much better than the band. ;-) Just kidding!! We also recieve help from our advisor(s). The Flags also have and advisor(s) and usually have sectionals at the same time as us. Must be a Color Guard thing. This year thought, our advisor is kept busy with expanding his own business. Though he still finds time to come visit us. THANKS PETERSON!! :-D

We participate in several band meets throughout the year, such as the Rainbow Invitational. Although this is not a competion band the Guard is still judged and we strive for the best. Other performances include football game half-time shows and parades.
