16 Aug 2006 is the Ekka day, a public holiday in Brisbane. I went to Alexandra Hill bushland to see if there were any early emerge bugs. Still not too many, a bit more than the last two months. Beside the Crow and Orange Ringlet, I only saw the Jezabel and the Common Grass Yellow butterflies. One thing interesting was when I openned  a fallen wood, I found a Leaf beetle hiding there on a dry leaf. I belived it was ready to emerge any time. Let prepare for the bugs emerging!!
