Last weekend we went to Karawatha Forest, the Banksia Track. Still not much large insects , we only saw a Crow butterfly and some Orange Ringlets. However, the wild flowers were blooming. They included the Silky Purple Flag Iris Patersonia sericea (above photo) and the Native Sarsaparilla Hardenbergia Violacea,  Of couse the Acacia golden flowers, which started to show off early winter, were still blooming. Some Banksia flowers started to bloom as well.
