| Smokey's Birthday Party brought out a lot of folks from in and around Mena and several Emergency Service Organizations were represented including Southwest EMS, the Mena Police Department, US Forest Service, Arkansas State Forest Service, Polk County Sheriff's Department, Several local Fire Departments, PCERT, and the Polk County Search and Rescue Team. The Ouachita Amateur Radio Association was also represented as well as the Boy Scouts and probably some others that I missed. The Polk County Search and Rescue Team put on a demonstration and got a lot of attention, especially from the Boy Scouts who were enlisted to help pull on the ropes. | |||
