Why?

Like an eagle,  I dreamt of soaring high

Like the clouds,  I wished to touch the skies

Like a lion,  I wanted to roar out loud

Like a flower so beautiful,  I hoped to fascinate the world.

By why Lord oh why?

You made the eagles soar high,

The clouds touch the skies,

the lions roar out loud,

The flower  a beauty to behold,

Yet endowed me nothing of these at all.

"My child,  my child,  why do you envy?

You can't fly yet your mind and spirit hover high

The skies you may not reach

But it's HEAVEN you'll soon explore

You may not roar out loud

But still I listen to your whispered prayers

You may not be a beauty that the world beholds

But you are as beautiful as ME,  Your creator and Lord."

Lord, still You are not fair

I maybe better than the eagle,  the clouds,  the lion, and the beautiful flower

But I am no better than any man.

Others are rich,  yet I am broke

Others are beautiful while am an eye sore

Others are carefree with life that's easy

While I am enslaved with problems and misery

Others are all knowing,  yet I am slow

Others are loved by so many yet I doubt if  I am loved even by a few.

"My child,  My precious child,  how uncontented can you be?

I have given you everything and yet you feel you've got nothing.

How do you count riches?

Is it by the finest gold and the purest silver?

My child,  you'll only become rich through union with ME your  creator and Lord.

How do you see beauty?

Do you see it in silky skin,  mesmerizing face and a graceful body?

All you see is a charm that deceives and a beauty that fades.

I tell you,  I see beauty only in the hearts of man and not in the face that charms.

How do you measure intelligence?

Is it by the worldly knowledge that a man has in mind?

Listen my child,  you may know everything in this world,

create every wonderful thing for this world

But if you don't know ME  your Lord,

You are nothing but a disease that your race should avoid.

Problems and miseries are all but a masquerade

Like a gem which cannot be polished without a friction

You can't be perfected without trials.

And why worry if the world never loves you?

Isn't it enough that I laid My life for you?

1997- one of the most trying times in my life (charing!)
